How a memorial is made

    Sketch to 3D model

    Our designers turn hand-drawn sketches of headstones into detailed 3D models, so you can see every aspect of the memorial before production begins.

    Precise V-cut engraving

    Our machines cut the lettering and inscriptions as precise V-cut engraving.

  3. STEP 3

    Hand painting and polishing

    The memorial is finished with hand painting and final polishing.

  4. STEP 4

    Your approval

    Your choices are respected at every step, with proofs for approval on bespoke work before production starts.

You can design a headstone or kerb set yourself with our online configurator, choosing the shape, the granite colour, the calligraphy style and the inscription, or contact us for a fully bespoke memorial.

Installation and safety standards
Installation is included in the price shown in our configurator, and is carried out in line with cemetery regulations. Our installations comply with BS 4815:2018, the British Standard for memorial safety in cemeteries, so your memorial remains secure for generations. Cemetery permit fees are charged separately by the local authority, and we help you obtain the permit. Our guide to what to gather before ordering lists the cemetery details we will need.
Timescales and warranty
From stone cutting and design through to installation, a memorial typically takes 10 to 16 weeks, and bespoke work can take longer. We keep you informed as each stage is completed. We provide a 10-year warranty on craftsmanship and materials, with specific terms varying by product. More answers are in our frequently asked questions.
